HOW LONG WILL THE PROCESS TAKE?

HOW DO I SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT?

Once you have found a therapist you would like to work with, reach out to them to schedule a consult appointment. Once consult is complete, the official therapy process can begin if all parties are on board.

WILL MY HEALTH INSURANCE COVER THERAPY?

At this time, New Avenue Counseling is In-network with Cigna, Aetna and Magellan. Please have your information ready so we can verify benefits. In addition to insurance, each clinician offers private pay and sliding-scale fee rates. Reach out to your chosen therapist for details.

WHAT IS TELEHEATLH?

Teleheath, teletherapy, telemedicine, and telepractice are all ways of saying that healthcare services are provided using a HIPAA-Compliant telemedicine platform to meet with clients virtually.


We provide therapy services online through your web browser (Google Chrome works best) or the Google Meet app for your tablet or phone. This allows you to stay in the comfort (and safety) of your own home or office.

​In order to access teletherapy, you will need the following things:

  • Internet-connected computer, tablet, or smartphone

  • Webcam or built-in camera on the device

  • A comfortable place where you can talk in private without interruptions
